TEDU's Commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

United Nations Member States adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in 2015, providing a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) create the essence of this Agenda by making an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

As a young and dynamic foundation University, TEDU emphasizes operating in harmony with SDGs to combat global challenges. In this context, TEDU has committed to achieving the SDGs by making a decision at the University Senate on October 14th, 2021 to raise awareness on these issues within the university and the local community.

According to its strategic plan, TEDU remains loyal to the main themes such as being student focused, committed to innovative teaching and learning methods, oriented in liberal arts approach in education, principled and understanding the value of research. While doing so, it aims to initiate new strategies compatible with sustainable development goals.
